Mix Designs
PRI provides mix design services supporting hot mix asphalt, cold mix, micro-surfacing, slurry seals, warm mix and specialty mixes. Our services include mix designs for general use as well as those for demanding applications such as port authorities and airports. 

Our mix designs are performed in accordance with industry and agency accepted design procedures and requirements.

Specialty mix design services may also benefit from our ability to provide unique and high performance binders and other performance enhancing mix additives. We as provide a full suite of pavement mix performance evaluations including properties before and after accelerated weathering.

PRI’s mix designs are readily accepted by State DOT’s and Agencies. All Mix Designs are supervised by our Professional Engineering staff.

Mix designs are involved and multi-step, and may require determination of agency specific properties and/or evaluations for raw materials and the paving mixture. Always refer to the pavement requirements as outlined by the governing authority.
